The Angels Corner Café, which is dementia friendly, opened its doors for the first time on Sunday 15th April at St Columba’s Church, Pellon.
Funded by a grant from the Warley Community Fund the cafe caters for vulnerable, isolated people and people with dementia (who must be accompanied by their carer/friends and/or families and anyone else wishing to attend).
People are invited to simply ‘pop in’. relax, and enjoy the safe comfortable and supportive environment while having a chat adn making friends.
Activities will include some or all of the following: Arts, crafts, games, music ‘sing along’, quizzes, word searches and bingo.
There is a small cover charge £2 per person which includes refreshments.
