Newsflash from the Voluntary Sector Infrastructure (VSI) Alliance team
VSI Alliance News & Events
Invictus is a CIC and currently offering talking sessions in Calderdale as part of their BREW (Building Resilience & Emotional Wellbeing) project for 5 – 17-year-olds. They’re working with children’s mental health services and the safeguarding team to ensure best practice and good outcomes for the young people they are supporting.
All of their work so far has been done over the telephone and zoom and they’ve ensured best practise as much as possible for this.
But they recognise that children/young people may respond much better to face-to-face intervention and are looking to roll out a ‘Walk & Talk’ programme in Calderdale (they’ve been involved with another LA which has successfully done this). For this project, they will be completing risk assessments of walking routes.
Do any groups out there have risk assessments already for walks that they would be willing to share with Invictus? If so, please can you send to Charlie and she will pass them on to the group. (charlie.johnston@vsialliance.org.uk).
Thank you!
