During these strange and difficult times it’s more vital than ever that we stay connected and keep moving! That’s why this class is moving online for the forseeable. The class will get you moving to a series of fun and enjoyable exercises, creative movement games and routines. It will help you to develop strength, confidence and co-ordination so that you leave each session feeling more mobile and positive. Sessions are varied, offering a range of different dance and music styles, and the atmosphere is friendly and supportive. New members are welcome!
The class is led by experienced teacher Izzy, who specialises in dance for older adults and trained working alongside Rachel Wesson on Ascendance’s Dancing with Parkinson’s programme. She also delivers fun, creative dance sessions for the over 55s as part of Yorkshire Dance’s Dance On project. Recent performance projects include Beige, a playful flashmob style participatory dance performance for 50 over 50’s and OWN THE CRONE, a dance / poetry performance commission for Apples & Snakes.
Izzy is a big believer in the transformative power of movement and creativity for all, and is passionate about empowering individuals and communities through her work. This virus will not stop us dancing! Clear a space in your living room and please join us…
