Covering the neighbourhoods of Todmorden, Cornholme and Walsden.

What is the fund for?

The fund is to prevent and tackle loneliness and in Todmorden we are specifically looking to fund the following

  • Activities that support people who are physically isolated
  • Activities that support people who are seeking legal advice
  • Activities for men
  • Activities within the South Asian Community in Todmorden
  • Activities that support volunteering engagement for those who are isolated
  • And general promotion of health and wellbeing information in the community

The Todmorden Steering Group (part of the Todmorden Wellbeing Network) has set-aside £500 of the available funds for one-off interventions for referred individuals to tackle specific issues which cause isolation. Please contact Tricia Astwood for more information or to make a referral (contact details at the bottom of the page).

Where has the money come from?

The Todmorden Fund comprises of funding from the Community Foundation for Calderdale. Read more about the fund here.

How much can I apply for?

The overall fund is £2940 and £500 of this has been allocated for one-off interventions (see above): £2440 is available.

We haven’t set a limit on how much you can apply for but it is likely the Steering Group will favour smaller applications.

If you’ve got an idea for something that meets our priorities for Todmorden, give us call to discuss. Even if we’re not able to fund your project or your project in total, we might be able to help in other ways.
