What our volunteers have to say about befriending
“I find volunteering very rewarding, and I hope I bring a little laughter and joy to the person I am matched with.“
“I wanted to give back to people in need after experiencing the kindness of others in my own vulnerable journey.“
“I have time and skills that aren’t being used for anything else, so it is good to use them to support people in my local community.“
We like to look after the wellbeing of our volunteers and offer regular support from the volunteer and coordinator and meet ups with other befrienders.
