Put t’kettle on love – let’s have a brew

Tea & Talk is a national fundraising event which takes place on or around World Mental Health Day – 10 October each year.

All you have to do is get together a group of friends, family or colleagues, put the kettle on and invite them to make a donation to the Mental Health Foundation – it’s as simple as that! Don’t feel stuck if October is no good for you though – you can hold Tea & Talks at any time of year.

Asking people about feelings of loneliness can be hard to broach but here at the Staying Well Hub we’re not afraid to talk about difficult subjects.

ELEMENT CANDY TEAPOT

“It’s the reason we chose the teapot as a symbol for Staying Well in North Halifax because it’s something we can all relate to.

“When you make someone a cup of tea, especially a proper cuppa in a teapot, you’re saying, ‘here is some of my time, we can chat if you want to but I’m going to make you a brew and drink it with you’”.
