Do you want to make a difference?
The Staying Well team is thrilled to welcome Laura as our new Parent Champion Co-ordinator! Laura will be leading this exciting new project, helping to amplify the voices of parents and carers in our community.

What is a Parent Champion?
A Parent Champion is a parent or carer who helps support, promote and improve services across our Family Hubs and the wider community.
Parent Champions play a vital role by:
- Accompanying less confident parents to groups and activities
- Collecting feedback from other parents
- Helping run (and join in with) existing groups
We also welcome new ideas from our volunteers and are happy to create roles that reflect their unique skills and experiences.
Why do we need Parent Champions?
Parent Champions are the voice of parents, for parents!
It is important to promote the services that North Halifax Partnership and the Family Hubs offer, and to support parents and families around the North & East and Lower Valley areas of Halifax.
We are hoping to get parents onboard volunteering for NHP, to support other parents and to have more of a say in the way services are designed and run.
