Supporting People with Dementia and their Carers

Hamari Yaadein (Our Memories) continues to grow.

The Central Staying Well Team is delighted to share the ongoing success of Hamari Yaadein (Our Memories), a welcoming dementia support group for people from diverse communities across Calderdale.

Delivered in partnership with Overgate Hospice and Halifax Opportunities trust (HOT), the group supports people living with dementia while also providing valuable support for their carers.

With the help of dedicated staff and volunteers, attendees can access information, guidance, and friendship in a safe and inclusive environment. The group encourages self-expression, builds confidence, reduces isolation, and promotes wellbeing for everyone involved.

We are committed to making the group accessible to all communities, with translation support available to ensure everyone feels welcome and understood.
