This September, we’re taking part in Move the Calderdale Way – a new virtual team-based fundraising challenge from Active Calderdale, helping to make Calderdale the most active borough in the North!
As a team, we will aim to collectively dance, walk, run, cycle or move at least 50 miles; the equivalent distance of the actual Calderdale Way footpath that encircles the borough.
For every team member we have, Active Calderdale will donate £20 to Curious Motion!
We’re looking for 20 people to join our team!
This challenge is for everyone! It’s not about pushing you past your limits. Far from it. It is about harnessing team spirit through activity and creating a support network of Curious Motion supporters who are taking on this challenge to support our work. Read more on our website.
Did you know an average dance class involves…
- 120 steps per minute…
- that’s 5400 steps in 45 minutes…
- and approximately 2.5 miles per person!
AMAZING!
It’s about working as a team to get to 50 miles, you can do whatever activity suits you and as much or as little as you like, every step counts!
By joining the team you can help us to…
|
You don’t need to fundraise yourself, just track your steps/distance through the month and help us get to 50 miles!
At the end of the challenge, all team members will receive a thank you present for taking part and moving the Calderdale way!
